Year 12 Presentation Evening

Chulmleigh Community College was delighted to welcome back last year's Year 11 to celebrate their achievements.

Chulmleigh Community College was delighted to welcome back our very successful Year 11 students of 2014/15 on Tuesday 17th November for their GCSE Presentation Evening. This class of 2015 was one of our most successful yet – with 77% achieving 5 or more A*-C grades including English and Mathematics. This is over 20% higher than the average for Devon secondary schools. Therefore it was unsurprising to see so many smiling faces amongst the students and their families.
This evening is a well-established event on the College calendar which sees students formal-ly presented with their GCSE certificates but also allows an opportunity to recognise individ-uals who have made outstanding contributions to the College. These awards range from academic achievement to contributions to the Arts and Sports. Mr Johnson was also able to present final Gold Scholar Award Trophies to Year 11 students who came top of their Year Group in terms of effort in each half term of 2014/15.
Mr Baber, the Chairman of Directors of Chulmleigh Academy Trust, gave a warm and welcoming address to those present and was also on hand to present the prizewinning trophies. It was fantastic to see our Year 11s from last year again and to congratulate them on their outstanding academic achievements. We wish them every success and happiness in the future.
