Their final task!
Head Girl & Head Boy speak on BBC Radio Devon
I met Alex Ward and Silas Welsh at 6.45am on Sunday 30th June to travel to the BBC Radio Devon studios in Exeter. It was a lovely sunny morning and, being so early, only passed 1 car!!
On arrival at the studios, we met Mel Stride, MP who introduced himself and then Alex, Silas and I reviewed the morning papers for topics to discuss.
The studio had not been refurbished since the early 1980s and looked as though things had been bolted into some of the equipment! I felt quite nervous because Michael Checker always seems so confident and I feel like I never know if he is going to ask me a question that is impossible to answer (he’s done that before). More than 250,000 people listen to Radio Devon every week.
Alex and Silas seemed very collected. They quickly got into conversations about Google glasses, festivals, Facebook, and nuclear submarines. I was asked about buildings and maths. It was a half hour slot and we were back in Chulmleigh by 9.00am!
Thanks to Alex and Silas, who gave an extremely good and confident account of the College.
