Musicians bring in the Harvest

Harvest service supports Lapford Food Bank

On Thursday 9th October, students and staff made their way down to the Parish church in Chulmleigh for the annual celebration Harvest Festival.

Students and produce entered the church and quickly packed the pews and collection boxes.  The service began with the traditional harvest hymn ‘Come ye thankful people come’ accompanied by the College orchestra and choir.  Newly-appointed Head Boy, Jack Bastin, led the congregation in a reading and was later followed by our new Head Girl, Abi Raymont, who read a harvest poem.

Christine Chandler from The Beacon Church led the Service and reminded those present that cries of ‘It’s not fair’ can sound very different when set in a global context.

Juliet Doswell representing Lapford Food Bank was overwhelmed with the very generous amount of donations - thank you!
