Class Two this term

Class Two have had a very busy week.

The children have been investigating mountain features and writing about where they are found, how they are formed and giving advice to climbers to ensure they stay safe on the mountain. Do you know what bergschrunds; crevasses; seracs; gendarmes (they are NOT French policemen!), aiguilles and cornices are? Ask your children and hopefully they will know!

They are also making mountain valleys from paper-mache, which incorporate many of the features listed. They are nearly at the painting stage and should look great when they are finished.

Currently, in science, they are creating Water Cycle posters, showing how water is transported from sea to land and back to the sea.
