Exeter College offers a wide range of courses and apprenticeships and pupils can choose those that reflect their individual ability, aspiration and interest. They have high expectations of their pupils who achieve excellent exam grades, outstanding training successes and brilliant music, sports, art and community achievements. Their tutorial and learner support programmes are designed to meet pupils’ needs, challenging them to reach their full potential. Over 60% of their 16-18 learners now come from outside Exeter.

The college is based across Exeter with sites in the city centre, at Monkerton, Sowton and Exeter Quayside. The city centre sites are all well within walking distance of train stations, the bus station and the High Street. This includes their Haven Banks Outdoor Education Centre, which offers a wide range of facilities including climbing wall, caving and sailing. Their city centre sites also offer cafes, a professional salon and spa, @34 restaurant, television studios and radio station, brand new sports hall and gym, art gallery, darkrooms and theatre performance space. Their out of city centre sites include the Technology Centre, Monkerton which specialises in Engineering, Aerospace and Automotive and Falcon House, Sowton, their Construction centre.
Caroline Earp is the Exeter College Adviser linked with Chulmleigh Community College. She regularly visits the school to offer information, advice and guidance to students considering joining Exeter College after their GCSEs. Caroline can answer questions on the wide variety of courses and apprenticeships on offer at Exeter College, plus course entry requirements, the application and interview processes, academies and pupil life. She can also signpost pupils and parents to other departments within the College for further information about learning support, financial help and travel.
All Year 11 pupils are given the opportunity to have an individual appointment with Caroline, and parents can also arrange to meet with her, either in school or at Exeter College. Caroline will also be available at the Year 11, 10 and 9 Parents’ Evenings and Open Events at College.
