About Us

At the preschool we take children from 2 years old and provide an exciting and happy environment with an emphasis on the prime areas of learning - personal, social and emotional development, communication & language development and physical development.  The 2yr olds free flow with the preschool children which encourages their language development and socialising.  In our main continuous provision we pride ourselves in providing opportunities for early writing in the form of Writedance activities, and language development through our daily Let's Talk sessions.  Our 2yr old sessions run Monday to Thursday and 3/4yr old sessions Monday to Friday.    We offer wrap around care Monday - Thursday 8am-6pm and Friday 8am-1pm.  We are registered for 2year old funding (Golden Ticket) and 30 hour entitlement.

Our Reception and Preschool run as one unit. This allows for seamless transition for those children at the start of their school careers. Joint planning for continuous provision as well as small group work follows the interests of the children and with a strong emphasis on experiential and outdoor education. The nurturing ethos of the PFSU provides a secure and happy experience of a child’s first year of school.
