  • Small Group Open Events October 2021

Due to Devon being in a Covid Enhanced Response Area until 4th October, we have taken the difficult decision to change the way we conduct our open events by replacing the College Open Evening on Tuesday 21st September with a wide range of smaller and more personal events. We are very keen to meet prospective parents/carers and pupils and are delighted to be able to offer a ‘package’ of Covid-safe opportunities to help inform your choice of secondary school for September 2022.
Small group tours – wide range of dates available
We are offering small group tours with our Executive Headteacher Michael Johnson, Deputy Executive Headteacher Neil Payne and SENDCO Laura Mackie. After school for those who may not be able to visit in working hours and morning tours for those who wish to visit during a normal school day.  Being able to see the school ‘in action’ provides an excellent window into what we offer here at Chulmleigh College, and with the tours being led by our Senior Leadership Team in a small group environment, you will have ample opportunities to ask any questions you may have.
We are offering a wide range of dates for these tours, please click on the links below to book.

Chulmleigh Sports Centre

Coronavirus

We are sorry but due to the Corona virus the sports centre will no longer be open to the community on evenings and at
weekends.

Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible but it could be some while. We thank you for your past support and hope
you will return once we get the go ahead.

Chulmleigh Sports Centre is a purpose-built dual-use facility designed to host a full range of sporting activities, with full disabled facilities and a broad spectrum of organised activities and clubs.

The Sports Hall is ‘four Badminton Court size’ and can accommodate Netball, Basketball, Tennis, Cricket, Volleyball and Football. There is an adjoining Fitness Suite with a range of 25 ‘stations’. All the equipment is of the very highest quality. A fitness consultant is available for the initial consultation and can also offer training programmes to suit individual needs. Personal fitness training is provided by Professional Fitness Consultants.

Local clubs use the Sports Hall on a regular basis and it is also available for private or club hire.

The Academy manages the Centre on a day-to-day basis and Chulmleigh Recreational Association (CRA) deal with matters relating to the Community use. A team of volunteers open the Centre for the Community under the guidance of a part-time administrator. Visit the CRA's website for more information.
