  • Small Group Open Events October 2021

Due to Devon being in a Covid Enhanced Response Area until 4th October, we have taken the difficult decision to change the way we conduct our open events by replacing the College Open Evening on Tuesday 21st September with a wide range of smaller and more personal events. We are very keen to meet prospective parents/carers and pupils and are delighted to be able to offer a ‘package’ of Covid-safe opportunities to help inform your choice of secondary school for September 2022.
Small group tours – wide range of dates available
We are offering small group tours with our Executive Headteacher Michael Johnson, Deputy Executive Headteacher Neil Payne and SENDCO Laura Mackie. After school for those who may not be able to visit in working hours and morning tours for those who wish to visit during a normal school day.  Being able to see the school ‘in action’ provides an excellent window into what we offer here at Chulmleigh College, and with the tours being led by our Senior Leadership Team in a small group environment, you will have ample opportunities to ask any questions you may have.
We are offering a wide range of dates for these tours, please click on the links below to book.
    After school tours: Morning tours:
Year 6 Taster Morning Saturday 16th October 9am-12pm We are delighted to be able to offer prospective pupils the chance to attend a Taster Morning at the College, where they will experience a range of lessons and activities.

Chulmleigh College PTA was created in 2018, with the aim to raise funds to benefit all of our pupils. We have been delighted with the response so far, and those who already help out have very much enjoyed getting to know other parents at school - we're a friendly bunch and so running events is good fun!
We've had a number of successful events already, including a quiz night, car boot sale and a Halloween disco for pupils, and have also raised funds from selling refreshments and second hand uniform at school events.

BUT there are currently only a few parents and staff members who are working very hard to run your PTA. So far we have bought outside seating with the money raised, and will shortly be announcing other news on how the money is going to be spent on extras that otherwise wouldn't be possible. In order to ensure the PTA can continue, we really need your help! If more people come forward, then it means that the commitment is much less and current volunteers don't have to help at every event.

You can also help raise funds by doing your online shopping through The Giving Machine. Simply sign up using the code 266392, and remember to login and visit online stores such as Amazon, Argos, John Lewis, Boots etc., through The Giving Machine website.  The PTA will receive a donation every time you shop!  There are over 2000 retailers on the store, so something for everyone.

We also run a 100 Club - members join for £10 and we have monthly cash draws for the rest of the year. For entry information please contact us on the email below, registration form and rules are available below.

The PTA is a member of Parentkind - the organisation which supports school PTA groups, please have a read of the attached information about why it's good to get involved in your child's school.

If you would like to get involved, please contact

We would love to hear from you!
