Welcome

East Worlington Primary School, for children aged 2-11 years, is situated in the village of East Worlington, which is between Chulmleigh and Crediton and close to Witheridge.  It is part of the Chulmleigh Academy Trust, a group of three primary schools (East Worlington, Lapford and Chulmleigh) and Chulmleigh College.

We are delighted to announce the opening of a dedicated 9-month- 2-years extension to our current thriving Nursery.

By being part of Chulmleigh Academy Trust, children at East Worlington Primary School benefit from enhanced transitional events and preferential admission to the College.

Spring Has Sprung at Early Worlies This week, both Hedgehogs and Otters have begun exploring our new seasonal topic Spring! The children have been busy discovering signs of new life, growth, and change through a variety of hands-on activities. Hedgehogs Our youngest children have enjoyed a range of sensory experiences linked to springtime and the farm. They explored sensory trays filled with hay, eggs, farm animals, and even had lots of fun getting messy with crazy foam! These activities supported their curiosity and encouraged them to explore different textures and materials. The Hedgehogs have also loved spending time in the outdoor area, making the most of the fresh spring air. A particular highlight was trying on a variety of different hats, sparking lots of smiles, laughter. Otters The Otters have been busy learning all about plants and how things grow. They planted beans in the window and are excited to watch them change day by day. The children have also started planting seeds that will grow ready for our garden and to sell at the duck race in July a lovely way to connect learning with a real life event. To deepen their understanding, the children learned about the different parts of a plant and took part in a plant investigation activity, where they carefully dissected flowers. This hands on experience helped them to explore and understand how plants are structured. It has been a fantastic start to our spring topic, with lots of curiosity, exploration, and excitement about the natural world around us. We are looking forward to seeing how our plants grow over the coming weeks!
