Welcome

East Worlington Primary School, for children aged 2-11 years, is situated in the village of East Worlington, which is between Chulmleigh and Crediton and close to Witheridge.  It is part of the Chulmleigh Academy Trust, a group of three primary schools (East Worlington, Lapford and Chulmleigh) and Chulmleigh College.

We are delighted to announce the opening of a dedicated 9-month- 2-years extension to our current thriving Nursery.

By being part of Chulmleigh Academy Trust, children at East Worlington Primary School benefit from enhanced transitional events and preferential admission to the College.

Weekly Round-Up – Early Worlies What a lovely week we've had at nursery! Hedgehogs This week the Hedgehogs have been exploring ice and snow. The children enjoyed investigating frozen ice and flour, touching and discovering the different textures. They also played with small world animals that live in icy and snowy habitats. Outdoors, we made the most of our garden space. The children loved playing in the sand and had great fun exploring our new outdoor ball pit. We also spent time digging in the garden to see what we could find and were very excited to discover some worms! Otters The Otters have been learning about rainbows this week. The children created their own beautiful rainbow arcs using paint and also made colourful lollipop stick rainbows, practising their colour recognition and fine motor skills while being creative. Whole Setting Activities As a whole nursery, we went on a spring walk to Worlington House, where the children spotted lots of signs of spring including daffodils, crocus and bluebells. When we returned to nursery, the children enjoyed painting their own lovely spring flowers inspired by what they had seen. We also celebrated World Book Day this week. The children looked absolutely adorable in their costumes! Some of the children even had their faces painted, and we spent time sharing stories and celebrating our love of books. The lower oaks came over and read stories with us. Next Week Hedgehogs will be learning about the colours of the rainbow. Otters will be exploring puddles and water, investigating splashing, pouring and water play. We're looking forward to another fun week of learning and exploration!
