Welcome

East Worlington Primary School, for children aged 2-11 years, is situated in the village of East Worlington, which is between Chulmleigh and Crediton and close to Witheridge.  It is part of the Chulmleigh Academy Trust, a group of three primary schools (East Worlington, Lapford and Chulmleigh) and Chulmleigh College.

We are delighted to announce the opening of a dedicated 9-month- 2-years extension to our current thriving Nursery.

By being part of Chulmleigh Academy Trust, children at East Worlington Primary School benefit from enhanced transitional events and preferential admission to the College.

Weekly Round-Up at Early Worlies What a busy and exciting week we've had across both of our rooms! Otters Room Our Otters have been working hard on learning and remembering their numbers. We dodged the rain showers by taking our maths learning outdoors, enjoying number hunts followed by fun physical activities where we counted actions to match the numbers we found. The playground was also transformed into number bays, with children parking in the correct spaces. We've also been challenging ourselves to recognise our names around the classroom through a variety of fun games, helping to build confidence and early literacy skills. Our story this week was Funny Bones, which inspired us to learn the names of different bones. We finished the week by working together in teams to create paper skeletons, showing great teamwork and perseverance. Alongside this, the children have enjoyed building houses and trains with Lego, exploring dinosaur eggs using pipettes and vinegar (kindly brought in by Jade), and playing cooperatively with the houses, castles and little people. Hedgehogs Baby Room Our Hedgehogs have been exploring the sun, moon and stars this week. They enjoyed colouring and mark making activities, using different tools to make marks and patterns while developing their fine motor skills. We've also focused on sensory experiences, with calming lights, gentle sounds and relaxing environments to support the babies' wellbeing. The children loved exploring moon dough, using their hands to squeeze, pat and explore the textures at their own pace. It's been a lovely week full of learning, exploration and fun across the setting. Thank you for your continued support
